
For Yoga For Scoliosis Information,

A minimum of two sessions is recommended. The first session runs 1
hour and a half. During this private consultation, Elise will take history,
see x-rays if available and examine the student’s posture and
pattern of scoliosis. Elise will give the yoga student a yoga program
to do at home with specific yoga poses that will address his or her
scoliosis. An hour follow-up session is recommended within a month to
fine-tune and correct the postures that were given in the first session.
Additional yoga postures are given if time permits. Follow up sessions
are encouraged either privately with Elise or in back care classes at
California Yoga Center. In addition, Elise gives special Yoga for Scoliosis
workshops periodically at California Yoga Center, other Bay Area yoga
centers and yoga centers throughout the United States. Also see Elise’s
schedule for retreats during the year where Elise is more than happy
to have scoliosis students attend. She is also willing to see students
privately during these retreats.
